Programs

LeRoy Soccer Club offers Summer and Fall Soccer programs for youths in the district.

Summer League:

Note:  Placement for Summer Soccer programs is based on the players year of birth per US Youth Soccer guidelines.

Lil’ Kickers (ages 3 & 4)

LeRoy Soccer Club’s Lil' Kickers Program is a six-week intro-to-soccer program for children ages three and four. Each practice session will be 45 minutes to an hour long, led by one or more of our coaches.  For this program parent/caregiver participation is MANDATORY.  At least one parent/caregiver must be present for each session and be willing to participate.  Each child will receive a t-shirt and a soccer ball. The program will meet on Saturday mornings starting May and running through June.

House Recreational League (U6 ages 5 – 6 & U8 ages 7 – 8)

The Summer House League is a developmental program for our younger players.  This fun and engaging program focuses on fundamental soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, ball control, and spatial awareness.  Training or practices sessions are held on Saturday mornings at Bunnell Park from mid/late May through the end of July.  Weeknight evening games are incorporated mid-June through July.

Each player will receive a uniform including a jersey, shorts & soccer socks.

The goal of our Summer House League is for players to have fun, develop fundamental skills, and foster a love for the game.

Summer Travel League (U9+ or ages 9 – 19)

The Summer travel league participates as part of the Rochester District Youth Soccer League (RDYSL) and provides competitive soccer for youth players ages 9 to 19.  At this level, teams typically play 12 games (6 home & 6 away) beginning mid-May through the first week of August.  Please note that away games do require travel around of Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans and Wayne counties.  Practices are at the coach’s discretion, typically beginning late April or early May (depending on weather and field conditions).  Game schedules are usually available early May.

U9 & U10 – we asked that coaches do their best to provide equal play time for all players.

U11 – U19 – we play competitively, and there is no equal playing time rule. The coach determines play time based on the players’ level of commitment to the game/team, their respect for the team/coach, etc.

Fall League:

Note:  Placement for Fall Soccer programs is based on the school grade a player is entering in September

Fall Skills (players entering K – 2nd grade in September)

The Fall Skills program is a continuation of the Summer’s Saturday morning training sessions and is a great introductory for new players.  This program aims to keep players engaged in soccer throughout the Fall season focusing on foundational skill development & fun!  All players will receive a Fall Skills t-shirt.

This six-week program begins mid-September and ends late October.  Sessions are 60 – 90 minutes weeknights (depending on light).

Fall Travel (players entering 3rd – 6th grade in September)

The Fall Travel program participates in the Livingston County Fall League.  Games for this league begin early September through late October, concluding with an end of season tournament in late October.  In this league our coaches stive for equal play time, however actual play time or participation in the end of season tournament may reflect a players’ level of commitment to the game/team, their respect for the team/coach, etc.

All games are on Saturday (occasionally on Sunday’s if field availability becomes an issue), and are played in York, Geneseo, or Lakeville.  No games are played on LeRoy home fields.  Practices will begin mid to late August at the Coach’s discretion.

Roster slots are limited and filled on a first come first serve basis.  Teams for this league are based on a player’s school grade and are divided as 3rd/4th & 5th/6th.

The Fall Travel program reuses our Summer Uniforms.  New players will be provided instructions for purchasing the necessary apparel from our team store on soccer.com.
